His first email!

Ok, first, when you send me an email or anything through missionary ties you need to make sure that you put district 23-A and box# 5 or I wont get them. I just got 7 of them while i was sitting here- the store manager gave them to me........ umm well everything is ok here, it is a lot different then America, I hope you got the letter I sent you. It had my adrress and my district number and stuff and it, on all your mail and emails just remember to put my district number and box number on them. Um I have been having a hard time here, the language is so hard for me I dont know how to study for it and I cant believe I will be speaking it one day. I dont think that I have cried as mush as I have here in brazil, there are trials and a lot
going on, one night I prayed and asked god if I am supposed to be here if I can do this and the next day he answered my prayers......I was called as the district leader of my district......its crazy, maybe I shouldnt have asked god if I should be here haha. The mtc is good, the food is alright just a lot of rice and beans....I have gained about 7 pounds since I have been here
but I think their scale is off by 5 or 6 pounds. I just got back from the temple today. It was amazing, the best thing, it was beautiful. My companion's name is Elder Morely he is a cool kid and knows a lot about the church. We are trying our best to work hard and to learn the language. I miss you all. Please keep me in your prayer and if you are able to fast for me I need all
the help I can get with this language.... mom you would be proud of me, I have taken all of my vitamins everyday.Ii make my bed every morning and I shower every night hahaha. um I have a good district they are all suppoorting in me and are really cool. I am so excited that I am writing you I have been waiting for this for ever. Today is my P day so be looking for
emails from me on Tuesday. Please forward this to all the family I dont have a lot of time, its crazy I am busy all day from 6:30 to 10:30 at night. Thank you for the missionary ties letter, but i havent been able to open them cause i just got them.... put my district and box number then they will deliver it to me... i love you so much and its weird that i can't just call you up and
tell you about everything. I know I am jumping around in subjects but there is so much to tell......this place is beautiful and the biggest place I have ever seen. well cant wait till you open this and read about me ahaha.... Mom, Dad, Zack, Amber, Kenny, Amiah, Erin, Steffon, Benson, Ellie, Lyle and Micah I love you with all my heart. This is probably the hardest thing I have done in my life. I love you all and I hope I here back from you......again dont forget to put my distrct number and box number .

Editors Note: Please keep Landan in your prayers. As you can tell by his email, he is struggling a little with the language, and overwhelmed at being a district leader. We are so proud of him, and know that he is already a wonderful missionary. He just needs to find out for himself. :)
