October 29, 2008 Email- "Blah" (not sure what that means?)

Thank, Thank, Thank you for the emails! I finally got some emails from you guys haha jk! This week has been really good! I got a new comp this week and he is so awesome! He is a lot different then Elder Cassenote. But he is a really good missionary. His name is Elder Olivera. He has 7 months in the mission 2 transfers more than me, he doesn’t know my area and my investigators so its like I am in charge of everything haha! Its hard, but I love it! I love my mission so much! I am speaking a little more right now and I have this family that I love. They are members and I go there to eat food (haha). Whenever I need a rest or need to use the bathroom I stop at the house of this family cause they love me haha :)

So everything is good with my new comp. Last Saturday, Richard G. Scott came and talked with all the missionaries in Interlagos. It was the coolest thing ever! I had the opportunity to shake hands with an apostle, and he said thank you to me! Haha! But he said something that I will never forget ..... well he said a lot of things that I will never for get but this one phrase has stuck with me all this week. He first talked about faith and how faith is something we believe in but can’t see and after he said this he said....”I don’t have faith that Jesus Christ lives....I KNOW that he lives.” The spirit was so strong in this meeting. It made me weak, like the spirit drained all of my power- haha! I don’t know how to explain it, but I haven’t ever felt the spirit so strong in my life….don’t get me wrong I have surely felt the spirit but never like this. It was AWESOME! The last thing he told us was that Satan was trying to destroy us, and to tempt us and do anything to get us to fall down. But then he raised is hand and said: “As an apostle of Jesus Christ, I give all of you a blessing of protection and safety.”

This pass week has been really good. I still have my ups and my downs but I am learning a lot....Mom I was wondering if you could send some stuff for me. First a hymn book in English, but not a new one it can be an old one. And also I have this family with two kids 4 and 3, and they love Disney! I was wondering if you could buy t- shirts from Wal-Mart with some Disney characters for them….something really cheap. The 4 year old is a girl and the 3 year old is a boy. So let me know what you can do! Well thank you so much for everything family! Thank you for the details and stuff. Tell the family hello for me…. love you all! THIS CHURCH IS TRUE I PROMISE
